Frozen shoulder, also known as "adhesive capsulitis" is
defined as a loss in range-of-motion in the shoulder
joint. The capsule surrounding the shoulder joint may
contract and form scar tissue. The cause of a frozen
shoulder is not well understood. A frozen shoulder can
be caused by an injury or surgery evolving the shoulder,
but often a person will experience a frozen shoulder
with no known cause. I work with patients in a
gentle but effective way to release muscle spasms and
scar tissue without the need for surgery.
