Headache caused by sustained
tension
in the
muscles
of the face, head, neck, and shoulders.
Most people describe tension headaches as a
constant dull, achy feeling on both sides of the head.
The most common causes of tension headaches are stress,
overuse of muscles, spasming muscles, or over-stretching
of one or group of muscles. Dehydration can also
play a role.
